CLipping masks are a powerful way to shape the pixels on your project. Think of them like cookie cutters. The top shape is the cookie cutter that presses through the dough. The bottom shape is shaped (masked) by the top shape like cookie dough. The cut shape and color of the bottom remain. The cutter and anything outside of the cutter shape is discarded.
